July 21, 2025: I filed my LLC.
August 18, 2025: I was fully operational.
Less than 30 days.
That sprint shaped everything I’ve built since.
Building Elevatus From the Ground Up
I didn’t start with a big budget. In fact, I had very little money to work with. That meant no wasted effort, no wasted dollars, and no chasing shiny objects.
Instead, I leaned on what I already had:
Free resources wherever I could find them.
Advice from friends who had already built businesses.
Deep knowledge I carried from teaching, parenting, and years of service.
And I applied one lesson the military taught me well: fail forward.
If something didn’t work, it wasn’t the end. It was a lesson. Adjust, refine, and try again until success shows up.
That mindset let me skip the busywork and focus only on what mattered.
The Essentials I Chose
In under a month, I created the foundation for Elevatus Coaching:
Filed the legal paperwork.
Opened a business bank account.
Built the simplest system so clients could actually work with me.
Launched a functional website.
Designed the Elevatus logo — the upward arrows and stacked mountains that still represent our brand today.
It wasn’t about polish. It was about presence. I didn’t just dream about Elevatus — I brought it into the real world, fast.
How It Became My Strategy
That lean launch didn’t just save me time and money. It shaped my entire strategy for content and growth.
Instead of waiting for “perfect,” I committed to showing up with consistent action. That rhythm still drives Elevatus today:
Monday: Hook stories that grab attention and set the tone.
Tuesday–Thursday: Educational frameworks and best practices people can use right away.
Friday: End-of-week reflection — a behind-the-scenes look at lessons learned.
Monthly: The Reset Report newsletter — the big picture reset with stories, themes, and tools for the month ahead.
This rhythm is simple, steady, and real. It builds trust without ads, a big following, or endless polish.
What You Can Take Away
Momentum beats polish.
Logos don’t build trust. Action does.
If you’re building something new, ask yourself:
Does this step move me closer to clients, income, or visibility?
Or is it just busywork dressed up as progress?
Cut the busywork. Do the work that counts.
